  • WINE FACTOR

Wine Factor is a mobile application that is used on an Android platform. This application was developed by a wine distributor for two purposes. Its first purpose is to manage inventory on the back end, and its second purpose is to provide patrons with a fun and interactive way of selecting a wine choice with dinner.

When a patron is seated at their favorite steak house, the server provides them with a Samsung tablet. They can select whether they would like a glass or a bottle of wine. Next they can choose what type of wine they would like to enjoy with their meal: red, white, rose, etc. When the patron comes across a bottle that they are interested in, they can select that wine to get a profile with year, price and description of the bottles in stock.

Once a final selection is made, the server then pulls the bottle from the inventory and enters the bottle’s identification number into the system. What a patron is not seeing is that Wine Factor allows the wine distributor and restaurant to manage their inventory, find which wines have sold better according to regions and even keep track of their most popular wines!
