**Frank Rosenow (died Oct. 1993) -- a very successful journalist, writer of 3 books, artist and a great sailor was my best friend. He had travelled to the far corners of the world. I had the pleasure to sail with him regularly along several frontiers of West European seas, canals and fjords for over 20 years. He was one of the persons who helped me in editing a couple of chapters in this book.
