Message:
Dear Mr Brooks,
I applied for the positions ST1, ST4 and ST5 which were advertised by Price Waterhouse in The Times of 8 May 1997 -- under the heading -- ‘Managing Business Problems .. Re-creating value.’
I then confirmed to Mr Charles Macleod, Senior Recruitment Manager that I can combine and take responsibility for both positions ST1 and ST4, and will excel in all the skills required to match the roles as envisaged for the positions.
In the last 18 months, I had also applied for a couple of positions through Price Waterhouse. For none of these positions was I called for an interview despite several exchanges of letters/faxes/emails and telephone conversations with Ms Alannah Hunt, Mr Charles Macleod and Mr Keith Bell. It is very clear to me that:
I strongly believe in fairness and competition. For me the competition is not only against the very best brains in finding solutions to problems & issues associated with business and Human Development but also how to excel in whatever I am capable of doing or becoming.
I am a true internationalist with multiple skills who challenges orthodoxy, conditioned responses and sacred cows when there are better solutions.
Having said this, I am determined to challenge the best brains and ‘can do philosophy’ of Price Waterhouse, and the selected candidates under the heading -- ‘Managing Business Problems -- Re-creating Value’ in front of an audience, and to prove to Price Waterhouse the underlined points in my letter.
I expect a fair hearing and a positive response from you personally.
Yours sincerely,
Umang malhotra

P.S. Copies of all my exchanges of letters/faxes/emails should be available from Ms Alannah
Hunt and Mr Keith Bell. It would be advisable to read my letters and papers rather than
to be briefed by others.
